I LOVED everything about this past Thanksgiving. I am so GRATEFUL to have had almost all my family together for it. Since this year everyone is spending Christmas with their in- laws we got be together for Thanksgiving this year. I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to this break. We had so much fun hanging out, playing with Drake, going to the movies, playing games, shopping, eating...etc. Thank You mom and dad for such an amazing break. I miss everyone already!
One of my favorite nights was when we got to go see Beatle's LOVE at the Mirage. I love Cirque du Soleil. Great show!
PEACE & LOVE
I also got to go out with my best girlfriends from HS. I love these girls!
So I guess you could say I am a LITTLE too excited for Christmas this year. Although I love Thanksgiving and am SO thankful and looking forward to going on break in less then 4 days, I have one holiday in mind that can not come fast enough.
I can already feel the Christmas Spirit. Or it might just be the excitement for Thanksgiving. ha but I like to think it's Christmas because...
Christmas Decorations and Music= Christmas

These cute glittered signs from Target's Dollar section
Some of Cortney's friends from Mesa came up to Utah to visit. It was a really fun weekend showing them around Provo. We almost had them convinced they should move here buuut the cold kept them.. umm well rather not convinced. Ohh Utah why can't you stay your pretty fall self just 4 more months until spring? None the less we had a lot of fun.
I remember going to DQ for family home evening treats when I was younger. My very favorite was the Butterfingers blizzard. The funny thing is I don't know why that was my favorite, I don't even really like butterfingers. It was probably one of my sisters favorites ha. Well for the first time since I was probably 9 years old, I went to DQ and tried the Banana Cream Pie blizzard. Oh. my. gosh. SO good.
For one of my classes, this week I had to go to a children's dance concert. It was pretty amazing actually. One of the performances hit me pretty hard. A 7 year old little girl danced to this song. As soon as I got home I looked it up. Turns out it is from this past years EFY's CD. It's such a beautiful song.
I Am His Daughter
The photos in the magazines Don't dictate who I'm supposed to be The world can't recognize, all that I am inside But I know in His eyes, I am a part of, the bigger picture,
There's so much more to me He helps me see that I have so much to offer I am His daughter He loves me the way I am, He's my strength when I stand He is my King, and my Father, I am His daughter.
The people on the TV screen, The leaders, rulers, and queens I watch them shape the world, And though I'm just a girl, I still know for sure, That I am a part of, the bigger picture
There's so much more to me He helps me see that I have so much to offer I am His daughter He loves me the way I am, He's my strength when I stand He is my King, and my Father, I am His daughter
And when I'm feeling small, And wondering if I'll ever, find courage to stand tall Through His love I remember
There's so much more to me He helps me to see that I have so much to offer I am His daughter He loves me the way I am He's my strength when I stand He is my King, and my Father, I am His daughter
P.S. DAILY GEMS
So I heard about these "Daily Gems" from a friend last week. I love them! They are inspirational quotes from our Leaders of the Church. They are found on LDS.org. I love finding good quotes and these have become the best part of my mornings.
(Go to LDS.org main page, then click on gospel library, then Lds gems- inspirational quotes, then click on the tab Daily Gems)
"Sisters, we love you. We pray for you. Be strong and of good courage. You are truly royal spirit daughters of Almighty God. You are princesses, destined to become queens. Your own wondrous story has already begun. Your 'once upon a time' is now."
So I'm 20 and am now a junior at BYU. I am studying Elementary Education and start the program this fall- so excited! As of now I just made it back up to school and am so happy to be back. There are so many things to look forward to this year and I can't wait to see what happens...
