Happy Thanksgiving!!

I LOVED everything about this past Thanksgiving. I am so GRATEFUL to have had almost all my family together for it. Since this year everyone is spending Christmas with their in- laws we got be together for Thanksgiving this year. I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to this break. We had so much fun hanging out, playing with Drake, going to the movies, playing games, shopping, eating...etc. Thank You mom and dad for such an amazing break. I miss everyone already!

One of my favorite nights was when we got to go see Beatle's LOVE at the Mirage. I love Cirque du Soleil. Great show!

Alright... let's start decorating!!!!

So I guess you could say I am a LITTLE too excited for Christmas this year. Although I love Thanksgiving and am SO thankful and looking forward to going on break in less then 4 days, I have one holiday in mind that can not come fast enough.

I can already feel the Christmas Spirit. Or it might just be the excitement for Thanksgiving. ha but I like to think it's Christmas because...

Christmas Decorations and Music= Christmas
and
Christmas= December
and
This December= Landry Comes Home!!

Soooo let's start decorating!! :)

3 Essentials
every home should have around
Christmas Time:

These cute glittered signs from Target's Dollar section
A Stuffed Santa
And maybe even a kinda scary Nutcracker

Merry Early Christmas everyone!!

OH ya and Happy Early Thanksgiving too :)

We almost had them convinced they should move here buuut the cold kept them.. umm well rather not convinced. Ohh Utah why can't you stay your pretty fall self just 4 more months until spring? None the less we had a lot of fun.

A Little Piece of Heaven

I remember going to DQ for family home evening treats when I was younger. My very favorite was the Butterfingers blizzard. The funny thing is I don't know why that was my favorite, I don't even really like butterfingers. It was probably one of my sisters favorites ha. Well for the first time since I was probably 9 years old, I went to DQ and tried the Banana Cream Pie blizzard. Oh. my. gosh. SO good.

I Am His Daughter

For one of my classes, this week I had to go to a children's dance concert. It was pretty amazing actually. One of the performances hit me pretty hard. A 7 year old little girl danced to this song. As soon as I got home I looked it up. Turns out it is from this past years EFY's CD. It's such a beautiful song.

I Am His Daughter

The photos in the magazines
Don't dictate who I'm supposed to be
The world can't recognize, all that I am inside
But I know in His eyes, I am a part of, the bigger picture,

There's so much more to me
He helps me see that I have so much to offer
I am His daughter
He loves me the way I am,
He's my strength when I stand
He is my King, and my Father,
I am His daughter.

The people on the TV screen,
The leaders, rulers, and queens
I watch them shape the world,
And though I'm just a girl, I still know for sure,
That I am a part of, the bigger picture

There's so much more to me
He helps me see that I have so much to offer
I am His daughter
He loves me the way I am,
He's my strength when I stand
He is my King, and my Father,
I am His daughter

And when I'm feeling small,
And wondering if I'll ever, find courage to stand tall
Through His love I remember

There's so much more to me
He helps me to see that I have so much to offer
I am His daughter
He loves me the way I am
He's my strength when I stand
He is my King, and my Father,
I am His daughter

P.S. DAILY GEMS

So I heard about these "Daily Gems" from a friend last week. I love them! They are inspirational quotes from our Leaders of the Church. They are found on LDS.org. I love finding good quotes and these have become the best part of my mornings.

(Go to LDS.org main page, then click on gospel library, then Lds gems- inspirational quotes, then click on the tab Daily Gems)

Here is my favorite from a couple days ago:

Be Strong and of Good Courage

"Sisters, we love you. We pray for you. Be strong and of good courage. You are truly royal spirit daughters of Almighty God. You are princesses, destined to become queens. Your own wondrous story has already begun. Your 'once upon a time' is now."

Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Your Happily Ever After," Ensign, May 2010, 127

Caramel Apples!

GETTING SO EXCITED FOR HALLOWEEN!

Soo these caramel apples may not look the greatest ha, but they were so good. I would even say as good as Pooh Corner in Dland- and thats saying something!

Lanai Girls

I love living in Lanai Apartments. They really are the best. I've met so many amazing people this semester and have had a lot of fun. In fact, it has become one of my favorite semesters of college. I am so glad I've gotten to meet these girls. Living in UT would definitely not be the same with out them.

Exciting News!

Happy Birthday Landry!

Today's the day- October 24th- Landry's 21st Birthday! I have been thinking and looking forward to today for a while now. I'm so excited because today he opens my package! I wanted to do something really special for his birthday, and after brainstorming and asking a lot of people... I decided I was going to sew a blanket! I had never done this before but, thought how hard could it be right? ha ha wrong. Sewing is hard work and takes a lot of patience! I am so lucky I had my mom, to teach me and walk me through everything. She is amazing. She helped me undo every mistake I made to make it absolutely perfect-- and it really did turn out perfect. I will always remember this time I had with my mom. We really had so much fun together.

Can't wait to hear from him tomorrow!!
Roll Tide (Go Elephants :)
I am so proud of him. He really is an amazing missionary.
Only 55 more days!!
Happy Birthday Elder Peterson!

A Night Out with the Girls

This past weekend I got to come home. It was the best! I got to see and spend time with so many people I love. Although I only got to stay three days, I soaked in every minute of it.

I love Vegas!
I love being Home!

Saturday night one my best friends from high school, Julie, celebrated her 21st birthday! It was SO fun to go out with all the girls. Nights like these make some of the best memories.
